Got an email from one of my wonderful Christian friends yesterday that has a provocative tone to it. The kicker is that I had a dream 3 days before about putting this very same initiative together. In my dream I questioned whether or not it could happen at all.

The Oak Initiative is a new movement to help unite, mobilize, equip, and activate Christians to be the salt and light they are called to be by having practical, workable solutions to the world’s problems. To do this, Christians must be informed and proactive in engaging in the great issues of the times with boldness, courage, and resolve to see righteousness, justice, and truth prevail.
The Oak Initiative will be boldly Christian and seek to base all of its teachings, training, and actions on biblical truth. It will also be a basic commitment of The Oak Initiative to treat those of all other faiths, political or social persuasions, with dignity and respect. When challenges or confrontation is required, we will seek to do so with the truth spoken in love, that these are the “divinely powerful weapons” that “are not carnal” or physical.’”

Wow I was thinking about this very thing myself a month ago. It is refreshing to see that the time has come for the Body of Christ to unite and take control of its own destiny instead of being one of the Sheeple like the rest uninformed people who do not know any better. Thanks for posting this Steve.

@GG: Welcome! Great minds think alike and I am happy to know that the Oak Initiative is here. As for the “uninformed” I believe it is because they are not able to differentiate (yet) between fundamentalist government strategies and how they can be different in this world of control and pride and greed. Time will tell and the time to change is now. Thanks for your support.
