I’m Back My Christian Brothers and Sisters?

Christianity No Comments »

Hello to all and my apologies for not posting for awhile.

I have been involved in so many things and then my computer crashed and I’ll just say that it’s all good now.

I just completed Discovery Training (8 weeks), Ministry Training (4 weeks) and a 3 day retreat, at my local church here in Texas and I am excited to begin posting what I have learned (discovered) about Scripture and Ministering (praying for people).

Beginning soon I will start to post the Discovery Process in the “Christianity” category.  This awesome process will awaken your mind, your heart and your soul.  Here is a sneak peek at the agenda;

1. An Intensity For God

2. A Heart To Win The Lost

3. Dedication To Building Relationships

4. A Disciplined Lifestyle

5. Commitment To Family

6. Sacrificial Giving

7. Worship and Equipping The Saints (Bonus #1)

8. Finding the Holy Spirit (Bonus #2)

Next, I will begin the process of offering Prayer to anyone who would like my Ministry Team to pray for them. In an effort to keep your requests private and confidential, you will need to Send Me Your Prayer Requests via the “Contact Me” form, listed under “Pages”. I will reply with the Prayers we will pray for you in response to your request if  you include your email address. I respect Privacy and do not keep email addresses.

For the brothers and sisters from countries outside the USA, who are using the translator, you will need to use the “Contact Me” form in English, for now, so you can enter the code necessary for your Prayer Requests to get to me. I will alert you as to when the translator plugin will allow the code to be translated so you folks won’t have to change the language to English.

Looking forward to getting this to you…

Steve

Jesus replied, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it, Love your neighbor as yourself.

Do You Know Why the Sabbath Really Matters?

Bible, Christianity No Comments »

Originally I set out for this post to be about the Ten Commandments.

During my research on that topic I discovered something that connects more with another post here at Bible-Religion.com.

In my post titled “Are You Growing in Favor with God and Humanity” I quoted a passage from the book “The Keys To Heavens Economy” and included some additional verses that I discovered in my research of the passage.

The additional verses from Isaiah 58:13-14 have spurred a more intement search in me to dig deeper into their meaning.  Yes, I’m talking about the Sabbath, the seventh day of the week to observe the Sovereignty of the Lord.

Observing a Sabbath—a period of rest—has gone out of fashion.”  Which is part of the reason why the basic fundamentalism of Christianity is rebuked by non-believers and the weak who fight for their own delights in this world.

Through my curiosity and necessity for a full understanding of this topic…. I discovered the following article from the New Living Translation website search archive.  In this article you will find some of the fundamental life attitudes that the Bible says flow with the Sabbath.

This practice is really very easy to follow as long as you’re not influenced by the strategies of the fundamentalist governments and their supporting talking heads.

Isn’t The Justice Of A Righteous God Awesome?

Bible No Comments »

This is what my daily bible reading plan led me to read today. I think it is relative to our current world situation too.

The Scripture quoted is written in the book of Ezekiel 18:1-32 NLT

The Justice of a Righteous God
1 Then another message came to me from the LORD:2 “Why do you quote this proverb concerning the land of Israel: ‘The parents have eaten sour grapes, but their children’s mouths pucker at the taste’?3 As surely as I live, says the Sovereign LORD, you will not quote this proverb anymore in Israel.4 For all people are mine to judge—both parents and children alike. And this is my rule: The person who sins is the one who will die.
5 “Suppose a certain man is righteous and does what is just and right.6 He does not feast in the mountains before Israel’s idols* or worship them. He does not commit adultery or have intercourse with a woman during her menstrual period.7 He is a merciful creditor, not keeping the items given as security by poor debtors. He does not rob the poor but instead gives food to the hungry and provides clothes for the needy.8 He grants loans without interest, stays away from injustice, is honest and fair when judging others,9 and faithfully obeys my decrees and regulations. Anyone who does these things is just and will surely live, says the Sovereign LORD.
10 “But suppose that man has a son who grows up to be a robber or murderer and refuses to do what is right.11 And that son does all the evil things his father would never do—he worships idols on the mountains, commits adultery,12 oppresses the poor and helpless, steals from debtors by refusing to let them redeem their security, worships idols, commits detestable sins,13 and lends money at excessive interest. Should such a sinful person live? No! He must die and must take full blame.
14 “But suppose that sinful son, in turn, has a son who sees his father’s wickedness and decides against that kind of life.15 This son refuses to worship idols on the mountains and does not commit adultery.16 He does not exploit the poor, but instead is fair to debtors and does not rob them. He gives food to the hungry and provides clothes for the needy.17 He helps the poor,* does not lend money at interest, and obeys all my regulations and decrees. Such a person will not die because of his father’s sins; he will surely live.18 But the father will die for his many sins—for being cruel, robbing people, and doing what was clearly wrong among his people.
19 “‘What?’ you ask. ‘Doesn’t the child pay for the parent’s sins?’ No! For if the child does what is just and right and keeps my decrees, that child will surely live.20 The person who sins is the one who will die. The child will not be punished for the parent’s sins, and the parent will not be punished for the child’s sins. Righteous people will be rewarded for their own righteous behavior, and wicked people will be punished for their own wickedness.21 But if wicked people turn away from all their sins and begin to obey my decrees and do what is just and right, they will surely live and not die.22 All their past sins will be forgotten, and they will live because of the righteous things they have done.
23 “Do you think that I like to see wicked people die? says the Sovereign LORD. Of course not! I want them to turn from their wicked ways and live.24 However, if righteous people turn from their righteous behavior and start doing sinful things and act like other sinners, should they be allowed to live? No, of course not! All their righteous acts will be forgotten, and they will die for their sins.
25 “Yet you say, ‘The Lord isn’t doing what’s right!’ Listen to me, O people of Israel. Am I the one not doing what’s right, or is it you?26 When righteous people turn from their righteous behavior and start doing sinful things, they will die for it. Yes, they will die because of their sinful deeds.27 And if wicked people turn from their wickedness, obey the law, and do what is just and right, they will save their lives.28 They will live because they thought it over and decided to turn from their sins. Such people will not die.29 And yet the people of Israel keep saying, ‘The Lord isn’t doing what’s right!’ O people of Israel, it is you who are not doing what’s right, not I.
30 “Therefore, I will judge each of you, O people of Israel, according to your actions, says the Sovereign LORD. Repent, and turn from your sins. Don’t let them destroy you!31 Put all your rebellion behind you, and find yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O people of Israel?32 I don’t want you to die, says the Sovereign LORD. Turn back and live!

Has the Anti-Christ Arrived?

News & Media No Comments »

Wow…  just saw this video and you can hear the fear in these folks voices! The American Politicians just don’t get it, which is unfortunate for us here in the USA.

Theologian William Barclay comments in the Daily Study Bible that “antichrist is not so much a person as a principle, the principle which is actively opposed to God and which may well be thought of as incarnating itself in those in every generation who have seemed to be blatant opponents of God.”

I’ve been researching this topic for some time and have not been able to complete my understanding of what the Anti-Christ is yet.  However, in 2 John 1:6-8 we are reminded of what the meaning of the bible’s message is once again!

Are you familiar with anymore Bible verses that depict the Antichrist beside those listed below, please let us know here.
—–
I say this because many deceivers have gone out into the world. They deny that Jesus Christ came* in a real body. Such a person is a deceiver and an antichrist.
2 John 1:7(NLT)

Dear children, the last hour is here. You have heard that the Antichrist is coming, and already many such antichrists have appeared. From this we know that the last hour has come.
1 John 2:18(NLT)

And who is a liar? Anyone who says that Jesus is not the Christ.* Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist.*
1 John 2:22(NLT)

But if someone claims to be a prophet and does not acknowledge the truth about Jesus, that person is not from God. Such a person has the spirit of the Antichrist, which you heard is coming into the world and indeed is already here.
1 John 4:3(NLT)

Do you think the Anti-Christ has arrived?
___________
UPDATE:(August 2, 2009) The following information comes from Joel Rosenberg’s “Epicenter: blog“. Are you tuned in?

‘”As I describe in my non-fiction book, Epicenter, Bible prophecies in the Old and New Testaments indicate that in the End Times, a Third Temple will be built on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, the site where the First and Second Temples once stood. Skeptics and cynics have long dismissed such prophecies. Military officials, moreover, have long argued that a Jewish effort to build a new temple could unleash the fury of 1.3 billion Muslims and trigger an apocalyptic war in the epicenter.

But a new poll in Israel finds a stunning 64% percent of Israelis — including 47% of secular Israelis — want to see the Third Temple built.

The Hebrew Prophet Isaiah writes, “It will come about in the last days that the mountain of the house of the Lord will be established as the chief of mountains” and that “the nations will stream to it.” (Isaiah 2:2)

In Daniel 9:26-27, we read: “The Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come [the Anti-Christ] will destroy the city [Jerusalem] and the sanctuary [the Second Temple]….Even to the end [of days] there will be war; desolation’s are determined. And he [the Anti-Christ] will make a firm covenant with the many for seven years, but in the middle of that week, he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering [in a rebuilt End of Days Temple] and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate.”

The Book of Revelation also confirms that a fully functional and operational Temple will be in place when the Tribulation begins (see Revelation 11).

Jewish groups in Israel are already producing architectural plans to build the Third Temple, and making other preparations as well. “‘

Based on this information, I am astonished that the American Politicians are continuing to follow the path that will eventually help to destroy us and the rest of the entire planet. Why are they not listening to the Word of God? What are they listening to?…

Is the End of Christian America Near?

News & Media No Comments »

What, as a nation, are we about to become?

This article, by Jon Meacham, comes from NewsWeek
Published Apr 4, 2009
From the magazine issue dated Apr 13, 2009

Blue Cross

It was a small detail, a point of comparison buried in the fifth paragraph on the 17th page of a 24-page summary of the 2009 American Religious Identification Survey. But as R. Albert Mohler Jr.—president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, one of the largest on earth—read over the document after its release in March, he was struck by a single sentence. For a believer like Mohler—a starched, unflinchingly conservative Christian, steeped in the theology of his particular province of the faith, devoted to producing ministers who will preach the inerrancy of the Bible and the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the only means to eternal life—the central news of the survey was troubling enough: the number of Americans who claim no religious affiliation has nearly doubled since 1990, rising from 8 to 15 percent. Then came the point he could not get out of his mind: while the unaffiliated have historically been concentrated in the Pacific Northwest, the report said, “this pattern has now changed, and the Northeast emerged in 2008 as the new stronghold of the religiously unidentified.” As Mohler saw it, the historic foundation of America’s religious culture was cracking.

Are You Ready For The Coming Perfect Storm?

News & Media 3 Comments »

As I continue to look for information contained in the message of the Bible, one of the Prophetics I follow struck me with a message he calls “The Coming Perfect Storm”.

This Prophetics name is John Paul Jackson.  He is the founder of Streams Ministries and has a jam-packed website with a cool video website called AWE.tv.

Early this year, January 2009, Mr. Jackson put up Part One, a 30 minute video and Part Two, a 21 minute video of “The Coming Perfect Storm”. He also offers a transcript of the video in PDF for $3.00.  Well worth the investment because it includes his personal notes on his understanding of this message from God.

After many requests from visitor, I’ve decided to update this post, to include the videos mentioned above, here.

Part One

Part Two

Bottom line, the Lord our God, is not happy about the way most Christians and non-believers live there lives.  He wants everyone to come back to the way of life he has laid out for all of us in the bible.

What are your thoughts on the message in these videos?…

P.S. You’ll find the next video in-line with this Prophecy of The Coming Perfect Storm, at the post titled; Are You Prepared for Turbulent Times Ahead?

How Can We Gain Eternal Life?

Christianity No Comments »

According to Scripture, this is what is written in the book of Luke 18:18-30 NLT

18 Once a religious leader asked Jesus this question: “Good Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?”
19 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked him. “Only God is truly good.
20 But to answer your question, you know the commandments: ‘You must not commit adultery. You must not murder. You must not steal. You must not testify falsely. Honor your father and mother.’*”
21 The man replied, “I’ve obeyed all these commandments since I was young.”
22 When Jesus heard his answer, he said, “There is still one thing you haven’t done. Sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
23 But when the man heard this he became very sad, for he was very rich.
24 When Jesus saw this,* he said, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God!
25 In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!”
26 Those who heard this said, “Then who in the world can be saved?”
27 He replied, “What is impossible for people is possible with God.”
28 Peter said, “We’ve left our homes to follow you.”
29 “Yes,” Jesus replied, “and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the Kingdom of God,
30 will be repaid many times over in this life, and will have eternal life in the world to come.”
