I’m Back My Christian Brothers and Sisters?

Christianity No Comments »

Hello to all and my apologies for not posting for awhile.

I have been involved in so many things and then my computer crashed and I’ll just say that it’s all good now.

I just completed Discovery Training (8 weeks), Ministry Training (4 weeks) and a 3 day retreat, at my local church here in Texas and I am excited to begin posting what I have learned (discovered) about Scripture and Ministering (praying for people).

Beginning soon I will start to post the Discovery Process in the “Christianity” category.  This awesome process will awaken your mind, your heart and your soul.  Here is a sneak peek at the agenda;

1. An Intensity For God

2. A Heart To Win The Lost

3. Dedication To Building Relationships

4. A Disciplined Lifestyle

5. Commitment To Family

6. Sacrificial Giving

7. Worship and Equipping The Saints (Bonus #1)

8. Finding the Holy Spirit (Bonus #2)

Next, I will begin the process of offering Prayer to anyone who would like my Ministry Team to pray for them. In an effort to keep your requests private and confidential, you will need to Send Me Your Prayer Requests via the “Contact Me” form, listed under “Pages”. I will reply with the Prayers we will pray for you in response to your request if  you include your email address. I respect Privacy and do not keep email addresses.

For the brothers and sisters from countries outside the USA, who are using the translator, you will need to use the “Contact Me” form in English, for now, so you can enter the code necessary for your Prayer Requests to get to me. I will alert you as to when the translator plugin will allow the code to be translated so you folks won’t have to change the language to English.

Looking forward to getting this to you…

Steve

Jesus replied, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it, Love your neighbor as yourself.

Know What The Ultimate Source Of Wisdom Is?

Religion No Comments »

I came across the message of this post from my Christian neighbor and wanted to share it with all of you.

I think this post explains it better than any of the ways I would have explained it.

“The Ultimate Source Of Wisdom”

As you go through life you discover that there are many ways to gain wisdom, such as: (1) Writing down and reflecting on what you learned through experience. (2) Gleaning from the collective knowledge of others. “by pride comes nothing but strife, but with the well advised is wisdom” (Proverbs 13:10 NKJV). (3) Thinking outside the box. Statements like, “This is the way we do things around here” warrant scrutiny when they’re used to defend ways that no longer work. (4) Not rushing to closure. Growth is always a work in progress. Creativity is untidy and unnerving. The ability to stay focused and faith-filled in the midst of change is a hallmark of maturity.

But the ultimate source of wisdom is God! If you need wisdom, talk to God: “For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding” (Proverbs 2:6 NKJV). “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally…and it will be given to him” (James 1:5 NKJV). “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy” (Jamse 3:17 NKJV). “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go, I will guide you” (Psalm 32:8 NKJV).

Ask the Lord God Almighty for the spirit of wisdom as often as you need to!

Listen to advice and accept instruction, and in the end you will be wise. Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.
Proverbs 19:20-21 NIV/NLT

Are You Broken Inside? Part 2

Religion 2 Comments »

sometimes God allows us to hit the bottom in order to discover that He’s the rock at the bottom. Gideon faced an army of 135,000 troops with just 32,000 of his own soldiers. And 22,000 of them left the battlefield and went home when he offered them the chance. Do the math. Gideon’s thinking, “there’s no way we can win!”

Then God explains: “The people who are with you are too many for Me to give Midian into their hands, for Israel would become boastful, saying, “My own power has delivered me’” (Judges 7:2 NAS/NLT). There it is again, the age-old battle of ego that we all fight daily. It is why the Lord’s Prayer ends with: “Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen” (Matthew 6:13 KJV/NLT).

Where does our power come from? God! Who should the glory for our accomplishments go to? God! How long does this arrangement last? Forever!

God had to break Jacob of self-sufficiency so the “Israel” within him could come out. Sometimes God has to take you down before He can rise you up. Moses was called the meekest man on earth. But it took forty years of living like a shepherd in the wilderness to detox him of pride and get him submitted to God. Only then was he ready to stand before Pharaoh and perform miracles that demonstrated God’s power - and vindicated Moses!

Brokenness doesn’t mean being a wimp, suffering from an inferiority complex or having a case of low self-esteem. No, brokenness means praying, “Lord if this job is going to get done and done right, You’re going to have to do it through me, so my trust is in You.”

we don’t always know the reason for our trials, but God revealed to Paul the reason for his “thorn in the flesh.” It was to keep him from being “exalted” (see 2 Corinthians 12:7 KJV/NLT). success can be intoxicating, and intoxicated people aren’t known for being too bright or trustworthy!

What happens when you get a thorn in your flesh? It hurts and you’ll let everything else go while you focus on removing it. Three times Paul prayed for God to remove the thorn, but God had another plan. You see, God is at His strongest when we are at our weakest. When Paul discovered that God’s power in his life was tied to the thorn that afflicted him, he responded, “I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions and calamities… For whenever I am weak, then I am strong” (2 Corinthians 12:10 NRS/NLT). In other words, “If it’s for my good, bring it on, Lord!”

If you have a thorny person in your life from whom you’ve prayed to be delivered and it hasn’t happened, maybe God wants you to experience His grace and power through dealing with that person. But you won’t experience this until you move from pain to praise.

The Bible speaks about “the sacrifice of praise to God” (Hebrews 13:15 KJV/NLT). A sacrifice means that something has to die on somebody’s altar. So if you want to experience God’s grace and power in your life, you must be willing to die to self-interest, ego, and independence. There is nothing wrong with asking God to remove your thorn. But when your prayer for deliverance turns to praise, you’re on your way to receiving His power, because God is giving you grace.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit.

Are You Broken Inside? Part 1

Religion 4 Comments »

in a world that celebrates success, we don’t see the value in broken things. But God brings beauty out of brokenness. For a plant to rise from the soil the seed must be broken. For a baby chick to experience larger life  the shell must be broken. Even a thoroughbred horse must be broken; it must learn to respond to the tug of the rein and the sound of the master’s voice. Getting the idea? After a humbling encounter with Christ on the Damascus Road, Paul reevaluates all the religious activity he once boasted about and calls it “garbage” (Philippians 3:8, NLT). And you don’t brag about garbage, your repulsed by it.

Brokeness is the work of God by which He strips us of self-sufficiency so that the character of Christ may shine through us. Now don’t miss understand; being broken doesn’t necessarily mean experiencing some tragedy. Many people suffer tragedy without drawing closer to God or even acknowledge Him. Indeed, the same sunshine that melts the butter hardens the clay. The issue in brokeness is not so much our circumstances, but our response. Take me for example, (About) when I was broken and at the depths of despair and not wanting to go on, I chose to get God in my heart again and to leave everything up to him. So what is God trying to teaching us? True brokeness is when he strips us of self-sufficiency to the extent that we have no strength left to fix ourselves. When God blocks every exit we try to take and we come to see that He alone is our answer, we make a life changing discovery. “And what’s that?” you ask. When God is all you have — God is all you need! Bottom line; God’s power is reserved for those who have given up trying to do it in their own strength or to accomplish it for their own means!

paul writes: “Now may…God…sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thessalonians 5:23 NAS/NLT). The word “sanctify” means to be “set apart,” to be used exclusively for God’s purposes. Paul describes it as “the high calling of God” (Philippians 3:14 KJV/NLT). And it happens from the inside out! Notice, our fleshly body comes last in order of transformation for a very simple reason. The problem with a thief isn’t his hands, it’s in his mind or spirit, which tells him stealing is okay. His mind tells his hands what to do. So if you transform his spirit his hands will follow suit. Otherwise you can handcuff him and haul him off to jail, but he’s still a thief inside. Too many of us want to get victory over bodily sins without being truly transformed within. But God starts with our spirit because that’s the part of our being that makes us conscious of God; that “connects” with Him. When God sets us free in our spirit, then our emotions and our body begin to fall in line.

If you’re a parent you know how differently your children respond to discipline. One child will collapse in tears, whereas another will stand up and defy you. God will do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes, to break us of our self-sufficiency so that the life of Jesus can be demonstrated through us. And… we determine how long the process takes, by our submission or resistance.

Paul prayed, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” (Acts 9:6 NKJV/NLT). Make that your prayer today!

Is A New Hitler Rising In The East?

News & Media No Comments »

I haven’t been keeping up with the events going on in the East, but after reading this post I had to share it.

This post comes from Joel Rosenberg’s Epicenter blog on June 19th…

“‘President Obama says he refuses to “meddle” in Iran. Why not? He is clearly “meddling” in Israel, pressuring the Jewish people not to defend themselves from a new Hitler rising in the East. He is clearly “meddling” by pressuring Israelis not to continue developing and expanding their own neighbors in Jerusalem, their capital city? He is happy to “meddle” in pressuring the Israelis to divide Jerusalem, give away the West Bank and allow Islamic Radicals to establish a sovereign state in “Palestine.” Remind me why, then, President Obama is willing to “meddle” in the affairs of a truly democratic country such as Israel, and refuses to speak out with moral courage and clarity with regards to a tyrannical dictatorship in Iran beating, arresting, and killing innocent civilians.”‘

Has the Anti-Christ Arrived?

News & Media No Comments »

Wow…  just saw this video and you can hear the fear in these folks voices! The American Politicians just don’t get it, which is unfortunate for us here in the USA.

Theologian William Barclay comments in the Daily Study Bible that “antichrist is not so much a person as a principle, the principle which is actively opposed to God and which may well be thought of as incarnating itself in those in every generation who have seemed to be blatant opponents of God.”

I’ve been researching this topic for some time and have not been able to complete my understanding of what the Anti-Christ is yet.  However, in 2 John 1:6-8 we are reminded of what the meaning of the bible’s message is once again!

Are you familiar with anymore Bible verses that depict the Antichrist beside those listed below, please let us know here.
—–
I say this because many deceivers have gone out into the world. They deny that Jesus Christ came* in a real body. Such a person is a deceiver and an antichrist.
2 John 1:7(NLT)

Dear children, the last hour is here. You have heard that the Antichrist is coming, and already many such antichrists have appeared. From this we know that the last hour has come.
1 John 2:18(NLT)

And who is a liar? Anyone who says that Jesus is not the Christ.* Anyone who denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist.*
1 John 2:22(NLT)

But if someone claims to be a prophet and does not acknowledge the truth about Jesus, that person is not from God. Such a person has the spirit of the Antichrist, which you heard is coming into the world and indeed is already here.
1 John 4:3(NLT)

Do you think the Anti-Christ has arrived?
___________
UPDATE:(August 2, 2009) The following information comes from Joel Rosenberg’s “Epicenter: blog“. Are you tuned in?

‘”As I describe in my non-fiction book, Epicenter, Bible prophecies in the Old and New Testaments indicate that in the End Times, a Third Temple will be built on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, the site where the First and Second Temples once stood. Skeptics and cynics have long dismissed such prophecies. Military officials, moreover, have long argued that a Jewish effort to build a new temple could unleash the fury of 1.3 billion Muslims and trigger an apocalyptic war in the epicenter.

But a new poll in Israel finds a stunning 64% percent of Israelis — including 47% of secular Israelis — want to see the Third Temple built.

The Hebrew Prophet Isaiah writes, “It will come about in the last days that the mountain of the house of the Lord will be established as the chief of mountains” and that “the nations will stream to it.” (Isaiah 2:2)

In Daniel 9:26-27, we read: “The Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come [the Anti-Christ] will destroy the city [Jerusalem] and the sanctuary [the Second Temple]….Even to the end [of days] there will be war; desolation’s are determined. And he [the Anti-Christ] will make a firm covenant with the many for seven years, but in the middle of that week, he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering [in a rebuilt End of Days Temple] and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate.”

The Book of Revelation also confirms that a fully functional and operational Temple will be in place when the Tribulation begins (see Revelation 11).

Jewish groups in Israel are already producing architectural plans to build the Third Temple, and making other preparations as well. “‘

Based on this information, I am astonished that the American Politicians are continuing to follow the path that will eventually help to destroy us and the rest of the entire planet. Why are they not listening to the Word of God? What are they listening to?…

Are You Ready For The Coming Perfect Storm?

News & Media 3 Comments »

As I continue to look for information contained in the message of the Bible, one of the Prophetics I follow struck me with a message he calls “The Coming Perfect Storm”.

This Prophetics name is John Paul Jackson.  He is the founder of Streams Ministries and has a jam-packed website with a cool video website called AWE.tv.

Early this year, January 2009, Mr. Jackson put up Part One, a 30 minute video and Part Two, a 21 minute video of “The Coming Perfect Storm”. He also offers a transcript of the video in PDF for $3.00.  Well worth the investment because it includes his personal notes on his understanding of this message from God.

After many requests from visitor, I’ve decided to update this post, to include the videos mentioned above, here.

Part One

Part Two

Bottom line, the Lord our God, is not happy about the way most Christians and non-believers live there lives.  He wants everyone to come back to the way of life he has laid out for all of us in the bible.

What are your thoughts on the message in these videos?…

P.S. You’ll find the next video in-line with this Prophecy of The Coming Perfect Storm, at the post titled; Are You Prepared for Turbulent Times Ahead?

Could This Be The Prophesy of Revelation 13:16-17?

WORLD LEADERS CONSIDERING SINGLE CURRENCY AMIDST SEVERE GLOBAL ECONOMIC CRISIS

The content below comes from an email a friend of mine sent to me yesterday March 21, 2009.  This is actually from Joel Rosenberg’s FLASH TRAFFIC: WASHINGTON UPDATE!

euro2(Washington, D.C., March 19, 2009) — Amidst the global economic crisis in which upwards of 45% of the world’s wealth has been lost in the last 18 months, talk of radically restructuring the global economic system is growing. In recent weeks, leaders in Europe, Africa and the Middle East have proposed scrapping the current economic order and going to a single common currency.

A story in yesterday’s Moscow Times is creating quite a stir in particular. At the April 2nd meeting of world leaders in London (the G20), the Kremlin is reportedly set to propose a new global common currency system to replace the U.S. dollar as the international currency of choice.

The story notes that “the Kremlin’s call for a common currency is not the first in recent days. Speaking at an economic conference in Astana, Kazakhstan, last week, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev proposed a global currency called the ‘acmetal’ - a conflation of the words ‘acme’ and ‘capital.’ He also suggested that the Eurasian Economic Community, a loose group of five former Soviet republics including Kazakhstan and Russia, adopt a single noncash currency - the yevraz - to insulate itself from the global economic crisis….”

“Nazarbayev’s proposal…garner[ed] support from at least one prominent source — Columbia University professor Robert Mundell, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1999 for his role in creating the euro. Speaking at the same conference with Nazarbayev, he said the idea had ‘great promise.’ The Kremlin document also called for national banks and international financial institutions to diversify their foreign currency reserves. It said the global financial system should be restructured to prevent future crises and proposed holding an international conference after the G20 summit to adopt conventions on a new global financial structure.”

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad last week called for a single regional currency for 400 million Muslims in the Middle East. “The process of obtaining one single currency in the trade and exchanges among members, and in the next stages with other countries and neighbors, should be designed,” the Iranian leader said March 11th.

Libyan leader Muammar Ghadafi, recently elected leader of the African Union of states, is calling for a single continental currency for all of Africa and has persuaded 200 tribal leaders to call him the “King of kings.” The BBC reported in February that Ghadafi “envisages a single African military force, a single currency and a single passport for Africans to move freely around the continent.”

Now comes a new story on this morning on the Reuters news wire: “U.N. PANEL SAYS WORLD SHOULD DITCH DOLLAR.”

“A U.N. panel will next week recommend that the world ditch the dollar as its reserve currency in favor of a shared basket of currencies, a member of the panel said on Wednesday, adding to pressure on the dollar,” the story noted. “Currency specialist Avinash Persaud, a member of the panel of experts, told a Reuters Funds Summit in Luxembourg that the proposal was to create something like the old Ecu, or European currency unit, that was a hard-traded, weighted basket. Persaud, chairman of consultants Intelligence Capital and a former currency chief at JPMorgan, said the recommendation would be one of a number delivered to the United Nations on March 25 by the U.N. Commission of Experts on International Financial Reform. ‘It is a good moment to move to a shared reserve currency,’ he said.”

The “Euro” is the model many are looking to, in part because 20% of the world’s foreign exchange reserves are already held in euros. Last year, the EU celebrated the 10 year anniversary of the creation of the “euro.”

These are curious developments given that scholars of Bible prophecy have long noted that according to the Scriptures, in the “last days” the world will see the emergence of an entirely new international financial architecture, complete with a single common global currency created and mandated by the leaders of Europe. The Bible indicates that eventualoly no one on earth will be able to engage in commerce without “buying in” to the new cashless system. The prophecy is found in Revelation 13:16-17, which reads: “And he [the world leader that emerges from a revived Europe] causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, and he provides that no one can buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name.”

Cynics and skeptics have long dismissed such talk as the province of “religious nuts” and “prophecy buffs.” But the discussion is now being advanced by major world leaders. It’s too soon to say where this will all lead, but these are certainly developments worth watching.
